CAN YOU DO ANY HEAVY WORK AFTER THIS IS DONE? HAS ANYONE GOT A 100 PERCENT OUTCOME? HAS SOMEONE HAD PROBLEMS
WITH PROLOTHERAPY? DOES ANYONE WISHED THEY DID NOT HAVE IT DONE? I AM TRING PHYSICAL THERAPY NOW WHICH IS ONLY
WEIGHTS, WALKING, AND STRECHING. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR TWO YEARS. IT ONLY GETS WORSE LITTLE BY LITTLE. I GO TO A
CHIROPRACTOR FOR PAIN RELEIF AND I THINK IT ONLY STRECHES THE LIGAMENTS MORE. I AM ALSO TRING A SI JOINT BELT. IT HELPS
WITH THE PAIN SOME, BUT IT DOES NOT KEEP THE JOINT IN PLACE.

I don't think there is anything out there like Prolo. It will strengthen those ligaments, and it will be permanent. It will be stronger than before. I think they take longer
to heal, but I would definitely consider prolotherapy. I am not 100% yet, but I have multiple problems. I am getting there, and intend to have close to 100%
recovery.

Believe me when I tell you -- it works! Four years ago I had what I considered to be an injury (hypermobile sacro-iliac joint) that nearly ended my career as a ballet
dancer. I couldn't walk without pain. My doctor suggested i try prolotherapy but I was skeptical of getting injected. After having seen numerous physiotherapists and
sport doctors who couldn't help me (over the course of a year) I finally decided to receive prolotherapy treatment. The results were immediate and incredible. Within
three weeks I was walking without pain and dancing again. I haven't had any problems since. Try it!

I know how you feel. I've been down that route. Your lucky if Chiropractic and physical threrapy help at all. I deteroated quickly doing this. After a few months of
prolotherapy I am finally getting some relief. It took over ten years to fall apart it will take some time to repair it. Give it a try. What do you have to lose.

Does anyone know of anywhere in North Carolina for prolotherapy?

Wow. Is it nice to know that someone else hurts! Sorry, that sounds awful but have been by myself on this for 1 1/2 years. WHo is recommended for prolotherapy on Pittsburgh? I have pain in my left butt but no longer down my leg. Had ACL replacement which seems to aggravate everything or cause it? It is not getting better and I'm beginning to feel twisted in my back. Have seen many doctors, surgeons, physical therapists who say it is hyper mobile but don;t know how to fix. Q:How do you know that you will be "in" when you take the prolotherapy shot. (I already had a steroid shot in the SI joint with a CAT scan..it was very painful and did nothing.) Am currenty with a chiropractioner who does the pressure relief , not the stretching but it is not fixing the probelm, only relieving the muscle tension. Did go to a therapist who put me in but I always poppped out (increasingly) Considered Prolo but rejected it because I did not feel comfortable with the doctor. I seemed like just another "thing". ANy suggestions? Is there a doctor who understands this? My doc is willing to talk to anyone to help.

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) offers prolotherapy. Check the post further up in the prolo string for more information.

Thanks. I have already been at the pain clinic at UPMC but the Dr there was not very postive about the results nor seemingly very knowledgable about the SI joint. It was more "if you like, try it" casual response. However, if it was the Dr. rather than the service, I will try again. Are you in Pgh and have had experieince there? My joint does not pop but is painful after exercise.

How is your wife?

This site is exciting! I have been in pain for 7 years. I had a hysterectomy that was botched and had to be redone. My hypermobile SI joint is now being proloed. I too wear an SI belt. I am glad to hear that people got relief.
