Park, I was just wondering if pain originating in the low back could be caused by a combination of low back and SI. I have been getting Prolo for the low back but have been having pain in the SI region. Dr. Faber says my SI's are fine but I am still having pain there. Should I have them injected also? I have read that if you can put a finger on the pain, then that is where it is coming from. (for me that is the SI's).

All opinion's welcome! thanks,

Sam

Hi Sam,

My knowledge of SIJD is not that good.I'm not
sure if Park be so kind to help you right now.
There are not so pleasant things going on in
his life right now.

But he would tell you to link onto the delphi
forum and go to the "Ask the Expert" question
section. DonTigney is the "Expert" about SIJD.
Hope, this will be of help! Also tons of info
there."Sacroiliac Resources" (Forum)

Good luck, Karin

Sam,

Can you describe the pain in more detail ?

Does it feel tight , do you feel any strain in any particulair direction i.e. up ,down etc ?

Did you have pain there before, or was it only after you started to get treatment ?

please be very cautious , i have been to Dr Faber also and so I am familiar with his methods..

The SI joints respond exteremely well to prolo , that might sounds good but If they're too strong or over tightened it can do A LOT of damage .

Dr. Faber didn't think my problem is with my SI's. He believes it ts still from the low back. He injected my iliac crests this past week (not fun!!) Now I guess it is a waiting game. I have had 7 treatments and havn't seen moch of a difference. Dr. Faber says that I am just a slow healer. I feel pretty good till mid-afternoon, then I begin to feel the ache. I am hoping that within the next few treatments I will notice something.

Park,
I have received 10 prolotherapy injections to the neck, once every month, from Dr. Hauser. I have experienced very little relief from the pain. He has suggested giving up, however, I read it takes up to 30 times in bad cases. This is my only hope. I have tried everything else. The last two sessions he started using a stronger solution. I have also started going to Physical Therapy, however, the radiating pain becomes even worse when I am worked on. His book makes you believe this is a cure for 90% of the people. I do not even know if he is injecting in the correct places.
