I have benign hypermobility. I was having a problem getting dizzy when stretching. It was found my left pulse is being cut off when I lift my arms up. They call the
problem Thorasic Outlet Syndrome. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Art,
Yeah, I have similar feelings. Mt arms also kinda go numb a little bit when I lift them above my head. This is pretty common in HMS/EDS from what I understand. I
didn't know that it has a specific name though. Well, now I do!

Hi I get the same thing as far a numbness when I have my arms above my head. If I fall asleeep with my arms extended above my head then I wake up and can't even
feel them. It takes a few minutes to get the feeling back into them!

There are some good sites available for TOS. Most of them deal with constriction being the problem, as in positioning. In EDS and HMS it can result from the nerve
being repeatedly stretched when the shoulder subluxes or dislocates over time. The docs here don't offer any treatment for it, unless the shoulder can be stabilised.
Try to find a TOS spppecialist in your area to see what treatment may be available to you.
