my seven year old was diagnosed with joint hypermobile joints particularly in the shoulders...she also has big bulging eyes with a light blue tint to the whites of her
eyes which i'm told is also a symtom of eds....she has been to an eye specialist and so far she has perfect vision....but they need to check her once a year....does
anyone have any of these symtoms

My three children and I all have EDS. Recently we went to have our eyes examined.
All have blue scarea and astigmatisms. Two of my kids have bulgeing eyes. I am told to
make sure we have a complete eye exam every year including having your eyes dialated.
Good Luck,

Blue schlerae (whites of the eyes) is often a symptom of EDS. However, not everyone with EDS has this although they can be photophobic, have floaters, develop
retinal detachment and have other vision abnormalities.

Where can I find more info, particularly about photophobia?
(I think the bulging eyes is EDS IX or some other high number in the old classification system.)
