I tilted my head to the right in the shower this morning and felt a twang. Now the right side of my neck and upper back are seizing up. If history predicts future, I'll be in pain for four or five days.
This happens so often and it's been happening for years. What's going on? Are the vertebrae just so loose that a gentle movement can shift one and pinch a nerve?

I don't know. Check with an orthopedic spine specialist, neurologist, or chiropractor. Or even your family physician or rheumatologist may know.
