My wife has been experiencing extreme lower back pain now for 6 months especially when sitting. Have been through several test with no luck of finding the source. She had scoliosis surgery has a teen and thus has a long fusion. She has fibromyalgia ( luckily hasn't been severe symptoms )and recently was told that she was hypermobile. I have read that many of you suffer from sacral pain that results in lower back pain. Her's is a very acute pain in the L4/L5 lumber region and describes it has someone sticking a red hot poker in her back. The area around this spot becomes sore but it is mainly the major "burning" spot. I was curious if your sacral pain felt similar to hers so we could atleast find the source of the problem.
One a side note,I have been reading more about this condition and my heart aches for all of you that are experiencing this. I pray for your well being and cure.

Frank do not rule out that with her hyper mobile joints a vertebra has come out of alignment and a nerve is being trapped. I have had this. A good chiropractor will be able to realign the vertebrae and the relief is simply wonderful.
But, ensure that she maintains good muscle tone and avoids harsh exercise. Ian
