I've always had very loose joints. My shoulders and hips pop in and out of their sockets dozens of times a day from the slightest provocation with no pain or discomfort. My knees, toes, jaw and elbows also frequently partially dislocate but I just push them back in and it never hurts- most of the time I do it without thinking. My doctor knows about this, but I’ve never gone to a specialist because it has never bothered me. Over the past couple months however, when I jog my knees ‘burn’ after I finish and sometimes when I go upstairs afterwards they fail to support me and later they ache. Does anyone have any good home therapy recommendations? Is there anyway to keep my knees firmly in their sockets while I work out?

Smakey,
Bracing or taping are the only things I can think of that would keep your knees in place while working out (taping may not work though) I use knee braces my self and have to rely on them just to get around somedays. There are lots of different sorts of braces from elastic supports to full carbon fibre sports braces and more. The 2 I use are the CTI2 and the Townsend rebel. One word of warning they are EXPENSIVE. You should talk to a physiotherapist; orthotist (Brace maker); or orthopaedic surgeon to see what they recommend for YOU as we are all different.
Hope this helps

As far as therapy is concerned there are knee strengthening therapies out there. One is where you have your back flat against the wall and push up and down using just your legs. If you tip your pelvise this also strengthens your lower back.

I'll add my blessing's to the iSports(.com) CTi2's aswell, my primary diagnosis of Hypermoiblity was when I complained my knees were going backwards.
Have had my CTi's for almost 1.5a now, use 'em every day.
