HI!
I was diagnosed with HMS eight years ago. I have suffered with musculoskeletal problems since the age of 12. My aches and pains have progressed and worsened with age (now 42). The pain in my feet/mainly both heels is almost unbearable, recently diagnosed with heel spur syndrome, plantar fascitis and bursitis. Xrays show NOTHING abnormal. I've tried cold packs, Dr fitted orthotics, herbs, prescribed antinflammatories, myofascial release by physical therapist, massages, all with minimal relief. The only thing Drs can find wrong is hypermobility in all joints esp ankles. Is anybody else out there expierencing heel/arch pain? Would love to hear from ya.

Nancy ,
I too am hypermobile in almost all of my joints and now rely on numerous braces at different times just to get buy, I wear orthotics as I was having troubles with both feet (I also have a foot drop in my left foot from knee reconstructive surgery) and have recently been fitted with a new splint that incorporates foot and ankle support (is like a strap on cast that goes from my toes to just below my knee, and covers the front and back of my foot and leg) this has helped me a lot.

HI Sharon,
Thanks for the quick response! I am new to this site (computer in general) and was eager to hear from someone soon. I plan to get back into P.T. and I will definitely check out an ankle/foot splint. I'm glad you found it works for you!
