My rheumatologist called me today and left a
message pertaining to my bone
scan-"everything is normal, no sign of
inflammation". She said that I should "see an
orthopedist about the spondylolysis although I
didn't know what he can do for it" and then she
was like "please call me when you get this
message". Well, I saw an ortho prior to seeing
her! He was so arrogant-he didn't find
anything either. I'm not making up this pain!!
i've had many days where I just wanted to say
to my boss "I quit" because of the pain. I'm
tired of spending money and getting no
results. The only dr. who actually helped me
was my GI dr. I'm going to give him a call.
You guys are the only ones who understand.
Thanks.

  Dear Tanya,

I feel really bad for you. What is it with these ortho's, must be something in their genes or something ;-p Only ones I ever met where so arrogant, you wouldn't believe it, well, maybe you would. I hope you will soon get some recognition for the pain you are in. That is so important! It may not cure the pain, but it really helps relieving the despair. And it puts you in a position where you can look after yourself as well as you should with hypermobility. That way you wouldn't have to say "I quit" but you could say, "I am taking a sickday". That's kind of hard to do when officially there is nothing wrong with you, though you may be hurting like ****. Really I hope you meet a decent doctor very soon.
Take care!
