Hi All,
I wont go into great detail because I would go on for ages. I may or may not have Hypermobility, I have seen many specialists over the last 8 months as I am unable to work with my pain anymore. I have had Sciatica since the age of 16(Pain running down legs and through the hips). I am now 21. That pain alone is bad enough and couldnt hold down a job longer than 3 months. The last job I was at I developed neck pain and could hardly move at all for about 3 weeks in absolute agony. It has remained fairly constant with only a few good days every now and then. The strange thing is I have full mobility of the neck but the pain is there whether I move it or not.(i.e most people with a sore neck have trouble turning left or right or looking down) I have no stiffness. The closest thing I can describe it as is a sort of tingling pain but that isnt accurate. Physio therapists think I have hypermobility, I can bend backwards about 55degrees but cant touch my toes due to tight hamstrings. My fingers all bend back 90degrees aswell. I have had all major diseases ruled out such as Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Does this sound to anyone like pain coming from Hypermobility and does anyone ever become pain free ?
Steve.

Sounds VERY familiar Steve...textbook ligament laxity. I've had really good success with prolotherapy in the SI and neck areas. I'm definitely not "pain free" yet, but I improve a little each time (4 times know). Let me know if you need additional info.
