I have been reading over the last few months on this subject, and have gathered that it is to do with the jaw. I have been recently (only the last few weeks) experiencing a stiffness in the left of my jaw when I awake in the mornings. It's painful to "re-align" my jaw, and make my teeth meet. The pain tends to wear off as the day goes on, but is there again the next morning. Is this to do with HMS, or should I see my Doc about it, incase it's something else.
I have HMS widespread over my body and am praying it isn't spreading to my jaw!!!!
Thanks in advance

Dear Emma, My daughter has TMJ. Her jaw goes out during the day. She is a singer and sometimes has to bump her jaw with her hand to get it to close! You need to see a dentist and since your problem is mostly in the AM, they would probably give you an insert for your mouth at night to help hold your jaw in line while you sleep. TMJ specialists usually require a regular dentist to refer patients, but not always. Call around to find someone.
