O.K. I am 31 years old. 5< years ago I developed Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJD) from practising for my singing exams. I now have daily headaches and widespread aches and pain in my muscles, though mostly neck and shoulders. I just presumed the muscle imbalance around my jaw had caused further muscle imbalance. My physiotherapist recently told me that hypermobility was actually a disorder and I have since been investigating on the internet. Now I am a bit worried! I have very thick stretch marks (from weight gain and pregnancy) about 2.5 cm wide in some spots, flat feet, a history of bleeding disorder (after tubal ligation), adenomyosis (internal endometriosis), among other smaller things. I am recognising a lot of similarities among these listings. My question is "does anyone think I might have EDS?"
I appreciate everyone's time in reading this and think you're all doing fabulously.

do you have joint hypermobility and skin extensibility? you can have EDS 3 w/o the extensibility, but thats joint hypermobility type. can you bend your thumb to your forearm? and do your fingers bend back more than 90 degrees? how about your elbows and knees, do they bend back 10 degrees or more in the wrong direction? stretch marks from weight gain and pregnancy are normal, so that doesnt realy matter. so are stretch marks from growth spurts. myself, i have never been over weight, never been pregnant, and never had a growth spurt, but i have deep ugly purple stretch marks on various parts of my body. you can e-mail me at Lin_171@hotmail.com if you want, maybe i can help you, or give you some sites that can help you. good luck on determining whats wrong!
