My 9 year old son has problems with his knee, ankle, and wrists popping. When they pop he generally is in a lot of pain until they pop back. In his knee joints you sometimes can feel something moving like a nerve or spasm. It does not cause him pain. I was wondering what it was and if it was a muscle spasm. Also, what do muscle spasms do to your joints longterm. Also, can someone give me the site for the beighton critera and the brighton criteria. One that explains in depth what he requirements are. My son had a genetist use the carter and wilkinson test and he did not qualify on that test. He has joint laxity is his knees and wrists but not much in his hands. He also has hypotonia and mild flat foot and developemental delays as do his brother and sister. They also have joint laxity. Joshua also has laxy eyes and had a sunken chest. Only Nolan has been tested so far for Marfans and EDS. But we are plaining to get a second opinion because of his continuous propblems with his joints. He is not very flexible though, like being able to touch the floor. He does have very soft skin but no scaring. Also, could someone expain more about skin laxity. He does have some skin laxity what is abnormal.
