I'm either losing my mind due to pain, or something is making me lose my memory, mainly short term. I can't remember if I just took meds, forget what I was saying in the middle of a sentence, and many other examples, and it is kind of scaring me, as I've always had a good memory. There are also cases of slight mental confusion. It's similar to the types of things that happens to a friend of mine with fibro, except I don't have fibro that I know of.
Does this happen to anyone else?

I don't think that it is a problem of HMS.
Did you change your pain medication in the last days? Some painkillers may have this effect. Most of the time the effect goes away after a few days, when your body has arranged with the medication.

I'm not sure, but I just went to one of the links suggested to me.. http://www.immunesupport.com and there is a page on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which mentions "Self-reported impairmanet of memory or concentration that affects occupational, social, educational, or personal activities.
I'm using their natural therapy recommendations.. ick, no more wheat products.. what'll I do?
Oh it's alright, licorice is good for me, I can eat some rather than munch on a cookie;)
Seriously though, if your practitioner doesn't know about the short term memory loss, tell them. It could be medication, it could be CFS, it could be HMS.. but it is best to get it seen to before you feel like you're losing your mind. I'm reaching that point myself, trying to note learn as a singer with this memory/concentration loss is getting out of hand
If you want that page on nutrition it's:
http://www.immunesupport.com/library/showarticle.cfm?ID=386 I hope it links correctly. If not, click the side button Understanding CFIDS and go to the treatment section, there is a good list of immune boosting and protein keys in there.
I'm going armed with it to my local health store...
