I have been experiencign numbness in my toes for some time now. I haven't given it much thought until I had surgery on my arms for carple cubital tunnel. Monday I
woke up to numbness on the outside of my right foot. Do you think I should bug the Docs about this or is it something that I will just have to get used to? I don't
have the money for an appointment I don't need and have already had my yearly.

hugs to all my fellow "sufferers". I use the term loosely as I find it hard to say I truely suffer! With 3 beautiful kids I don't feel like "suffering". ;o)

This can be a difficult problem to diagnose.
Is the foot actually numb, or does it just feel
numb? Numb means that you can't feel
anything. You don't feel a pin prick. You
don't feel your finger when you push on the
area.

A foot can feel numb without being numb. Both
of my feet are numb-like, but I can feel pin
pricks in just about any part of either foot.
In my case the cause seems to be either weakness
and strain in the plantar fascia, or it is a referred
pain from my lower back. I have had both
treated with prolotherapy by Dr. Milne Ongley;
the back is much better but the feet are still
numb-like.
