I am looking for a new SI belt. Any links? Any info on the newport4 hip orthotic and Si pain and hypermobility? thank you for your help.

I asked my physician and the orthotics supplier about a hip orthotic like the newport4. I too suffer from hypermobility and frequent (lateral) dislocation of the hip. My SI is also very hypermobile. I was told my SI, my back etc. would not be strong enough to handle the pressure that that kind of orthotic puts on the rest of your body.

I'd like to add my hips don't really dislocate 'all the way'. It is not so bad that I have to have them put back in hospital, it is more like they are slipping away underneath me...

Hi, I am new to this so I just go and ask the question that is really bothering me. I got Marfan also and lately have more problems with the joints in my righthand and especially the fingers. My psysiotherapist is thinking that I should get a brace. But I am right handed, has anyone suggestions for me. Can i still use my hand properly? Please help. Janine.

For your fingers there are ring splints which might help they have a web site try http://www.silverringsplint.com/ or just search for ring splints or finger braces etc.
