I'm 28 years old have bi-lateral leg (knee, patella, hip, lumbar spine) dislocations. Also upper bi-lateral (shoulder, clavical, wrist, finger, ula) dislocations. The time has now come after 15 years of refusing to get a wheelchair. Anyone any suggestions - I'd be REAL grateful for ant advise or help offered. Keep smilin'. :-))

I would say to get an electric scooter because you simply cannot push yourself with your hands the way they are. I know. The repetitive motion of pushing your own weight on the wheels will subluxate your shoulders real quick. I have a Pride Legend electric scooter. It goes about 25 miles on one charge, then I charge it up in the garage overnight and go go go. I have a van that I put it in because cars aren't engine-strong enough to carry it. 250 pounds. Get your doctor to write you a script, then insurance should reimburse you for some of it. If you are low inclome, get the state vocational rehab office to buy it for you. Our state tax dollars working for you!
