Relocating subluxing hip? please?

Hypermobility Forum for people with Marfan, EDS: Dislocations and subluxations: Relocating subluxing hip? please?

My left hip joint continues to sublux. I found one way to snap it back in place but it hurts my SI joints.

I'm guessing that jumping up and down on the bad leg doesn't work.

Ideas?

mmm... traction sounds tempting don't it?

Transplants are starting to sound tempting, actually. Like lumbar-ilium transplants: one-stop shopping for all your lower-back pain needs. And I have two ankles to trade in, while I'm at it.

... traction?

When my hips do not feel comfortable this is what usually solves the problem (for a minute or so): When it is the left side: I put my left ankle on or above my right knee and push left knee down. Or, when it feels like it went some other way, I bend my left leg and put the left ankle on the outside of the left hip and pull a bit.
When it is the worse none of these help or hurt even more. In that case I just try to sit/lie very still and relax, relax, relax, puff, puff, puff and wiggle a bit.
The 'experts' I have seen obviously prefer the 'relax and wiggle' methode. They say the first two could damage the ligaments. I am sure snapping your hip like that could hurt the joint, but sometimes I prefer a quick solution.
