I have recently had this operation to correct mis-alighnment of my right knee. At the same time the surgeon moved my crucial ligament and pataella. Has anyone else had this? What results did you have? Currently my leg is held in place with screws whilst the bone heals and I am in a lot of pain (nothing new there then). I would appreciate any news on this procedure that any one has. Thanks. My e-mail address is: murphym4@talk21.com

I had a lateral release & quad muscle sewn to my knee cap to stop my dislocations. (Moving the patellar tendon's attachment via cutting the bone & screwing the attachment and bone in a different place is the 3rd step if the first 2 weren't enough for me.)

I don't understand what you had done or why. Please explain!

I'm 8 weeks post-op. I'm starting to resume more normal activities like walking without a limp, climbing stairs, etc. I never had much pain with my operation. The hardest part is figuring out how to control the muscle that's in a new place.

Feel free to contact me also.
