Can you let me know how long you spaced each treatment out? My first doctor said 6 weeks. My second doctor said every two to three weeks.

Margret,

My treatments started at once every two weeks. After a while though, I forced my doctor to inject me every week. It worked well but was extremely painful. Luckily, I have a good relationship with my doctor so it wasn't too bad. For some reason, I am able to tolerate VERY strong solutions. Probably because I have had so many injections that my body has built up a tolerance. I hope this helps.

Greg

Greg,
How long did you receive the shots for? My doctor told me if it does not work after three sessions he gives up.

I have had prolo and did not have any results until afetr the 4th treatment. I have read that hypermobile people require more than the average 4-6 treatments. It has helped me a lot.

Tracey,
What type of solution did you use? I had the plain dextrose for 11 treatments and it did not stabilize anything. I am trying a different doctor that is right near where I live. He said he could use sodium m or PG2. I have not heard of anyone using PG2 before so I am going to try the sodium m. I am hypermobile due to an injury.

Margaret,

If you are only hypermobile due to injury, prolo done correctly will likely cure you in my estimation. That is of course, if you are living a healthy lifestyle, which means no smoking, recreational drugs, anti-inflammatories, moderate alcohol, and plenty of fresh vegetables. If you do not heal well you should probably consult a doctor who practices natural medicine to check out your anabolic hormones like Testosterone (yes, women need it too!), growth hormone, DHEA, and progesterone. If you do not have genetic hypermobility there is no good reason why prolo will not work for you if done correctly. Best wishes,

Greg

Greg,
Thanks for your response. The supposed prolo expert I went to ran $1000.00 worth of tests and did not test my hormones. I am going to find a place before my next visit to get my hormones tested. Otherwise, I do not know why I would not get better since I live a healthy lifestyle. When the injury involves nerve pain and all tests turn up negative, although according to Dr. Hauser's book that says this will resolve from prolo, I believe it is most difficult to treat.

It seems like most people do not stick it out like you did because of the pain, the duration of treatment and the doctor eventually gives up.
