Hi myles,

Just happend to see your post. I look at the
website maybe once a month. There is not much
action going on any more.

I remember, that there was somewhere a link
with all the addresses from doctors, who perform
prolo treatments.

Check googles under prolotherapy and check all
the websites. I'm pretty sure, I've seen it there. Or if you find any other doctor, call them
and ask.

Good luck,

Karin

Hi Karin, thanks for your suggestion. i havent check googles, and i will check it. i did a search on the internet and i found 2 doctors in the area, but im not sure how good they are, when i call them, they wont give me references from people who had used their service. you're right the site is not as active now. i try checking it every week to read others post, and feel if others benefited from prolotherapy. merry christmas to you, hope you have a good one!

Hi Mylene,

It seems there are constant changes at the spine
(joints) It took a while for prolo to work.

I'm doing a lot better now, except for an
inflammed nerve at the thoracic spine.

The changes for me where very painful. Would I
do it again? I'm not sure because most of us
don't remember, what it was like to be hypermobil.

I agree, you need to see an experienced doctor
or you may have to travel a bit. The injections
are about 4-6 weeks apart.

Good luck and Happy New Year!

Karin

I have not heard of any good doctors in Texas ,( though that is not say there aren't ) but there is a Dr Trowbridge round there who I think might be worth a shot, if my memory serves me correctly.

You might not be able to get references but you'd do well to ask about solutions they use and the strengths they go up to , 2cc seems standard though some on the west coast go up to 5cc!

Perhaps also there might be hypermobility group in the area with members who have been you could ask .

Some doctors seem better ar certain areas than others , and as Karin suggets it might be worth looking into going elsewhere if it means geviing yourself a fair shot.

Just my 2 cents !

Good Luck

That's the thing, no data out there, you can
compare with. If only people will post and
report the outcome of the prolo injections.

When I started, I didn't know where I was hypermobil, only knew I was and my doctor also
had no clue. She only asked me, where does it
hurt and at that space (ligament) she would
inject.

At this moment I'm still changing. It's scary
sometimes. Like I said before, I would not
recommend the whole back, just find out first
where exactly your joints are hypermobil.

Somewhere I read, there will be no harm done
with those injections. I disagree. Mine was an
overkill, no doubt, but it works.

Good luck,

Karin
