There had been an extensive discussion about prolotherapy on the prolo.net website. Something strange has happened. The board went down at he end of March.
There is not one post for the month of April. However, I discovered that the board is still up! If anyone is interested in posting to this forum again type the following
as the address: http://209.185.58.76/bbs/ There is a wealth of information on this forum regarding prolotherapy! This is a great forum too!!! Let's keep both going!!!

I have been trying to get back to this board for the longest time. With the new address you gave I can finally pull up the board but cannot read the messages- maybe
we ahve to start a new one. I have had a couple of prolo treatments w/ limited results but am thinking of moving to Chicago to go see Dr. Hauser - author of "Prolo
Your Pain Away"

Hi, We tried to reach the prolo site according to all of your instructions, including your ammendments to no avail. I'd really like to try to get onto some of these
postings as I have a "consult" visit with a prolotherapist on Monday May 22, I hope you get this and would respond asap, Thanks a lot, Cheri

I posted the original message. After entering the prolo message board, using the IP address link as I stated in my original post, I could not click on any of the
messages and bring them up. Here's how you have to do it. View the properties of any of the message links that you would like to view. You should find in the URL
statement something that ends like "read=1607". If this is the post you would like to read, enter this line in your address bar then press enter:
http://209.185.58.76/index.cgi?read=1607/ *** Make sure to end the string with /. Each post will have a different number after "read=

I tried accessing the prolo forum using your instructions but I keep getting the message "cannot access server". Is this site up and running still? Would really like to
know.
Thanks,
Cheri

Rich, I talked to Terry Rapp (He is the moderator of the prolo.net discussion board) He told me that they were in the process of upgrading the server and the board should be up within 30 days. The server company did not "bring down" the site. They just "unlisted" the DNS to IP address look-up link. The easiest way to have full access to the site is to find over the internet the freeware program "freenet99". It is a good tool to have. The main function of the program is to store the DNS to IP address look-up table on your local computer. When you type in an address in your browser IE: 'www.anysite.com' the IP address is resolved by your ISP's server (this takes more time than if the table is on your local computer). I really don't use the program for much, but it is great for this: What I did after downloading the program was to delete all the DNS-IP table listings in it. The reason I did this is because I wanted the table to be only for sites that I have problems getting on to. What you can do is this: Download the program and make a manual entry for www.prolo.net and enter the IP address that I posted on my previous posting. The program is pretty easy to use. Once you set-up 'www.prolo.net' you won't have to do any "fancy foot work to browse the site" you will be able to read and post messages as before. Even if you decide to wait a month and see what happens, I recommend to any web surfer to download 'freenet99', it's a great internet tool. Also, if you have e-mail addresses for others who have used the prolo.net site pass the word. Terry wasn't real assuring over the phone about the 30 day time frame. My hope is if we can show interest in the forum, they'll get it back up for everyone to use.

Re: Dr. Hauser in Chicago

I understand that Dr. Russ Hauser has written several books. However, has anyone on the forum received and benefitted from his prolotherapy treatments? Please let me know before I shell out $500 for treatments. Thanks.

I made a mistake about the name of the free about the free program to help in reading the messages on the www.prolo.net website. The program name is actually "fastnet99" not "freenet99" as I mentioned before. Sorry for any confusion. ZDnet is a good source to download this program.

Hi I have just found this board ,and for me it is very exciting. I have hypermobility of the SI joint, other joints are also hypermobile, but the problem is in the SI joint .Over the last nine years I have had 40 injections, and I seem to need 1 about every 6 months. For they have made the difference between having no quality of life and being in bed all the time ,to having some times when I am able to have a life. The pain i s still with me but I can live with it,I also have to be aware of not pushing my self and doing too much, which is frustrating, but for me they have given me my life back.
