Nicky I too have/had multidirectional instability and underwent arthroscopic shoulder reconstruction and capsular shrinkage 2 weeks ago yesterday. I am hoping that this will fix the problem for me.
Hope this helps. MDI can be truly disabling as you cannot use or trust your shoulders and therefore your arms at any time.
